Warrior News: Black Belt Graduates - three new Black Belts and a 2nd Dan at Warrior Taekwondo

Three New Black Belts and a 2nd Dan for Warrior Taekwondo

October 19, 2026•2 min read

Sunday was a proud day for Warrior Taekwondo. Four of our students stepped onto the mat at the British Taekwondo Dan grading and walked off at the next level: three brand-new Black Belts and one new 2nd Dan.

Years of work, one big day

A black belt isn't handed out. It's earned over years of turning up week after week, through the tough sessions as well as the fun ones. Every one of these students has worked through the full coloured-belt syllabus, sharpened their kicks and patterns, and built the fitness and composure to perform in front of a British Taekwondo grading panel.

For our new 2nd Dan, Sunday was another step on from black belt, and a reminder that a black belt isn't the end of the journey. It's where the real learning begins.

Our Warrior pillars in action

What made us proudest wasn't just the techniques. It was seeing our four pillars on full display:

  • Effort – years of consistent training to reach this standard

  • Confidence – performing under pressure in front of senior examiners

  • Energy – giving everything, right to the last technique

  • Focus – staying calm, sharp and switched on all day

These are the same qualities we build in every class, from Warrior Tots right up to Warrior Seniors, and they carry over into school, work and everyday life.

Thank you

A huge well done to our graduates, and a big thank you to the parents and families who have driven to sessions, cheered from the side and backed these students every step of the way. Thank you as well to the grading panel.

Every one of these students started exactly where your child would: day one, white belt, a little nervous. If you'd like to see what Warrior Taekwondo could do for your child's confidence, focus and fitness, book a free trial session and come and train with us in Hanley or Brown Edge.
